Ezethu Iincwadi is a book show that gives authors a platform to showcase their work, and organizations that work with literature by creating an engaging dialogue to express their work. The series aims to attract a broad audience, as authors, writing and reading community.

Through the show, we aim to:

  • Build a reading and writing culture in Cape Town.
  • Give a platform to the authors and organisations that are developing the culture of reading and writing.
  • Teach and motivate upcoming authors through the stories of existing authors.

The show’s producer David Tyutulo is the CEO of Nkuthalo Media, which was founded to build a home for upcoming authors and also publishes well-known authors from all over South Africa.
The show is currently the only one of its kind on South African television.

In 2023 the show won a prestigious SAFTA award.
