Meet the team
Lwandile Zulu is an award-winning TV Presenter and Lifestyle Content Creator, holding a Diploma and Advanced Diploma in Acting for Camera from City Varsity School of Media and Creative Arts.
She has been crowned TV Presenter of the Year three consecutive times at Cape Town TV and was named Rising Star of the Year 2022 at the VN Global Awards.
Her current work includes starring in the nationwide Bernini campaign airing on TV and billboards, and hosting monthly live segments for TakealotNow across their digital platforms.
Her diverse presenting portfolio includes hosting major cultural events such as CottonFest, Afest, and the Samsung Galaxy Flip launch, showcasing her versatility.
TV presenter, producer and director by day, MC by night! Lauren Joffe is a passionate, adventurous and inquisitive creative. After winning an award for singing in the South African Championships of Performing Arts as a teenager, her eyes were opened to the world of Arts and entertainment.
Lauren relates that growing up in “a very mixed, loud, beautifully chaotic household”, led to three things – household jokes about the family having a “rainbow nation” loyalty card, the joy and purpose of telling stories through entertainment, and the importance of listening to lived experiences from people of different backgrounds.
She graduated from the University of Cape Town in 2016 with a degree in Drama, Film and Gender Studies. She placed as Cape Town’s Top 10 for the Presenter Search on 3 in 2020, South Africa’s Top 20 for the National Geographic Narrator competition, and a wide variety of other achievements and leadership roles.
Chad January is a qualified professional chef, seasoned food writer and multi award-winning food stylist and TV presenter. Graduating from the Institute of Culinary Arts (ICA), where he interned at prestigious restaurants The Test Kitchen & La Colombe, his journey into the food industry started off with a bang. In 2020 he was awarded Up & Coming Food Writer of The Year at the annual Galliova awards  (sponsored by SAPA) while being the Deputy Food Editor of Pick n Pay’s Fresh Living Magazine. Then later, crowned Food Stylist of the year at the 2023 award ceremony while being the Editor for TFG’s MyKitchen magazine.
Chad is known for not only his extensive food knowledge and skill, but his charisma and charm as he graced our TV screens as the host of various cooking and lifestyle shows. Now, as one of the faces of Cape Town Tv’s hottest new show, he aims to educate, empower and inspire others through his journey, while showcasing Cape Town as the beautiful eclectic city that it rightfully is.
